A southern male pudu named Haechen was brought to the Brandywine Zoo in Delaware as part of a Species Survival Plan Program. The hope was to have Haechen mate with a female, Clover, to increase the species’ population numbers.

 

The Brandywine Zoo wanted to create a 'love story' for Haechen and Clover in an effort to raise money for their future habitat together. I also designed a generic pudu illustration that would appeal to a larger audience. The various illustration’s would be used for merchandise in the gift shop, signage and social media posts. Unfortunately, Haechen passed away before this project was completed.
